FC Talanta on serious governance reforms in partnership with CA, 10Bet ahead of 2022/23 season

FC Talanta is undergoing reorganization and transformation in a bid to become the best-run club in the country.
In a season that has had its own disruption, Ken Kenyatta’s side has ensured that they keep up to pace with the big boys in the FKF Premier League.
Talanta gained promotion in 2021 and has shown that they are here to stay.
New governance and much-needed reforms in the administration have enabled the club to attract two sponsors who have made it possible for the club to run professionally in a time most are struggling to stay afloat.

The new strategic approach has enabled them to partner with betting firm 10Bet and a continued one with the Communication Authority of Kenya(CAK).
Players and the entire technical bench are being paid their salaries and allowances on time and this explains how the new strategy is working.
Founded in 2012 as a flagship project of the National Youth Talent Academy, in a partnership between the ministry of sports and UNICEF, Talanta has continued rising from the lower leagues.

“We are focused on making this club the best and we are grateful to our partners for having the confidence in our vision,” said club board chairperson Wanjiru Mahihu.

“We are working on having a major reorganization as the season ends so as to begin next season with a bang.”

With the current season just a few weeks away from completion, FC Talanta wants to prepare in the best possible way for next season.
“Next season we want to challenge for the title and, thanks to our partners 10Bet and Communications Authority, we are on track with that ambition,” says club CEO Douglas Ratemo.
“The board has put in place good governance policies which are guiding our transformation agenda to make FC Talanta one of the biggest football clubs in Kenya and Africa, winning trophies and nurturing talents of some of the best players in Kenya and beyond,” he adds.
The new club partners 10Bet are not new in Africa; they are the main partners of Enyimba (Nigeria), DC Motema Pembe (DRC), Red Arrows (Zambia), Dodoma Jiji (Tanzania), and Aduana Stars (Ghana).
Talanta are currently 10th on the FKF Premier League log with 33 points and takes on Police FC on Saturday 16 April.
