Matchday changes: Wazito fixture postponed
The Football Kenya Federation Premier League match against Wazito has been postponed for 48 hours due to the unavailability of grounds. The match was scheduled to be played on Saturday, 23rd April at 3.00 pm (EAT).
The FKF Caretaker Committee, currently in charge of all football activities following the decision of the Cabinet Secretary to sack the former officials, confirmed the change upon the request of the host team Wazito. Our opponents made the request for the fixture change after they failed to secure both Kasarani and Ruaraka grounds.
The postponement gives coach Ken Kenyatta a few more hours to prepare for the match against Wazito, who are currently in 16th position and winless in their last five matches (D L4).
We are currently unbeaten in our last five matches, managing nine points from a possible 15 (W2 D3).
The reverse fixture in September last year ended in a 1 – 1 stalemate, Brian Yakhama equalizing in the 79th minute after Wazito had taken an early lead through Lukasz Lakomy, who had scored for the visitors on 18 minutes.
